Project Description
In spring 2021, I began a new website for Seattle composer and concert producer Glenna Burmer. The website integrated two previous sites and was refreshed with new content, information architecture, branding and graphic design, produced in partnership with van den Berg Design and Marlow Five-0.
Burmer first burst on the scene nearly a decade ago with the critically well-received Symphonic Stories, which played to a sold-out house at Benaroya Hall in 2012. Since then, she’s produced live concerts, albums and dance programs that highlight some of Seattle’s top musicians, composers and dancers. Each concert focuses on a theme, from Dante’s Inferno to outer space, creating a unique, creative and entertaining cultural event.
A storyteller at heart, Burmer has turned her talents to short animated films — with all original music — that are winning awards both nationally and internationally. Her current film is Nana karobi, which tells the story of a young Japanese girl who must overcome seven obstacles to save an orphan.
